Chairman & Executive Director

From an 18 year old school leaver to a renowned name in the poultry processing industry, Encik Baharudin’s success is a story of hard work and grit. Coming from a humble family, he realized that hard work is the only way up.

His involvement in the poultry business started after going through several jobs at a young age. Working in a chicken processing plant in Johor taught him about farming, slaughtering, cutting and storage of chickens.

As part of his fardu kifayah duty, he finds it his calling to provide fellow Muslims with halal poultry. Starting a business then proves to be the right thing to do, as there are not a lot Malay Muslims in the business. It was also at this point Encik Baharudin wants to build a brand that he and his newly wedded wife, Puan Norliza would be proud of.

With their savings, they started their venture named after his wife at a rented premise. At the beginning, it wasn’t smooth sailing for this young couple, as this sector already has a few established players.

However, they managed to overcome the hurdles. In 2004, NB Poultry Sdn Bhd was incorporated, this time named after the both of them, Norliza and Baharudin.
